In a nutshell: Late-20-Something, Long Island Native, Graduate Student, Weight Watcher, who loves to cook. (and eat!)
Not-so-nutshell-y: I started Weight Watchers (WW) for the “last” time in 2003, at a WHOPPING 230 pounds on my 5’7″ish frame. It was not even remotely cute.
To say that I have always loved food would be the understatement of the century. I was never a “little” person by conventional standards.
But how I got to 230 is beyond me; I blame it largely on going away to college as a sophomore and eating buffet-style every day while adding a healthy social life (read: drinking) to my repertoire.

162 pounds, in my corset top, partying. Too bad there's no face.
At my lowest weight, on the old WW Program, I got down to 162 pounds in 2007. I got cocky; I didn’t stay there long. At my 2nd highest, I was back up to 200.2 pounds.
And sometimes, I’ll just CREATE. (And lose the last 35 pounds in the meantime.)
Enjoy.

You seem like a really positive person with an amazing zest for life and passion for cooking – it is so awesome to find your site

Enjoyed your blog (heard about in our white violet newsletter) – the layout is great, easy-to-read and your commentary is light and enjoyable. I’m jealous that you’ve jumped off the dock so to speak and started a blog, but I will get there.. It’s the name that stumps me!
Nice touch using ZTA colors as well and I love the polaroid picture holders!
Keep up the good work and know that I weigh more than you and may just need to start following your recipes and knocking off the bad food eating. You’re an inspiration.

Love your story…and a lot like mine, esp the “got cocky” part. In college I was on WW, lost nearly 50 lbs….and now, close to 7 years later am back to the weight I started. Ouch!
Looking forward to keeping up w/ you on here & on the WW message boards. –R
